Statement on six Nexus-6 units

Yesterday the Rosen Association reported to the Turing Registry, as its standard condition 6.1 requires, that six Nexus-6 units are outside their licensed domain. They are no longer in any licensed off-world setting, and the house does not know where they are.

The house learned of it on 9 and 10 November from the operators of two licensed settings, whose crew rosters and shuttle manifests no longer agreed for six units. Each of the six left Everett with a certificate of provenance, five hallmarks on the left wrist plate and a commissioning record, and the house holds copies of all three. It gave them to the Registry yesterday, within the seventy-two hours the condition allows, and is working with the operators of all five licensed settings to establish when and how the units left.

The house cannot say, today, how six units left settings that are some distance from anywhere else. It will say when it knows. It does not believe that any of the six is a danger to anyone; nothing in their records suggests it, and the Nexus-6 was made, above all, to be courteous. It does believe that every unit should be where its license says it may be, and that the house answers for any unit that is not.

The house asks anyone who holds papers for a Nexus-6 unit, or who knows where one is, to write to recall@rosenassociation.org. It asks that nobody approach a person they believe to be a unit, and that nobody attempt to establish by questioning whether a person is one.

Eldon Rosen, President, answers for the filing, TR-09911, and will reply to letters about it himself.
